Lab-grown diamonds offer the same chemical, physical, and optical properties as mined diamonds—and they’re every bit as beautiful and enduring. For many of our clients, the value lies not just in origin, but in what the piece represents. That’s why we offer both lab-grown and mined options, so you can choose what feels most meaningful to you.

Because lab diamond technology is still relatively new, the jewellery industry is still evolving in how it assigns value to them. As a result, lab and mined diamond prices may fluctuate, and we cannot guarantee their future resale value. However, by embracing innovation, we’re proud to offer diamonds that are both exceptional in quality and more accessible—so you can create something timeless, without compromise.

We use certified diamonds in our pieces. Our lab-grown diamonds are IGI Certified, meaning they are graded and verified by the International Gemological Institute, one of the world's leading independent gem certification bodies. Mined diamonds are certified by either IGI or GIA. Most of our pieces come with the corresponding certificate when the diamonds used are 0.75 carat in size or larger. This ensures each piece you purchase from VELA meets high standards of authenticity, quality, and ethical sourcing.

We also repurpose old jewellery, buy old jewellery, offer cleaning and maintenance for existing clients, and can provide appraisal services through one of our partners.

Yes. We offer cleaning and maintenance services for VELA clients. Whether it’s a polish before a big event or a rhodium re-plating to keep your white gold looking its best, we're here to make sure you and your family can enjoy your jewellery for generations to come.

Yes, we want our clients to have piece of mind when choosing us for any of their jewellery needs. Therefore, most of our pieces priced over $1500 include an appraisal with purchase. You may request an appraisal for a fee of $50 if it is not included with your order.

We partner with International Gem Assessment Inc, an established appraisal laboratory that is recognized by all insurance companies, to provide this service.

If it was purchased through us, send us an email at vela@velajewellers with details including photos, and we'll be happy to address it. If the repair is not covered under warranty we will provide a quote with details of the recommended repair.

It’s common for your jewellery to require resizing over time, whether due to fit, comfort, or lifestyle changes. Depending on the design and style of your piece, we can often resize it to suit your preference. This service is available to VELA clients on pieces they have purchased from us. 

Once your order is placed, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, please be sure to check your junk or spam folder.

If you need to modify or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible at vela@velajewellers.com. Be sure to include your order number and write “Change to Order” in the subject line so we can assist you promptly.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to add items to a confirmed order. If you’d like to purchase an additional item, please place a new order and email us right away at vela@velajewellers.com. We’ll be happy to see if we can waive the second shipping fee and ship all items together.

In-stock items typically ship out within 2-5 business days of purchase. Custom orders typically ship out between 2-8 weeks depending on the item. Once your order has been dispatched, we’ll send you an email with tracking details. Yes, we offer international shipping. Applicable shipping costs will be calculated and added at checkout based on your location.

We offer exchanges or store credit for unworn items within 7 days of receiving your purchase. Please note that refunds are not available. All returns and exchanges must be approved in advance—please contact us within the 7-day window to initiate the process. Please be aware that all sales are final for special orders, custom pieces, and bridal jewellery, including ready-to-buy and bespoke engagement rings, wedding bands, and eternity bands.
